Yellow? Nope. I would have hoped for black with gold lettering.
Those heel plates will get first to be reduced in size, painted, or removed.

Yes $5995 is the official "introductory" price....my local dealer had the same price listed as well. It was on a price tag hanging off the handle bar and the tag was pre-printed from Royal Enfield.
I have a deposit on one as well. Dealers hoping for delivery in Dec/Jan. I hope its soon I've already sold my c5 to get one.I've seen pictures of the yellow Continental GT it looks pretty good, at least in pictures. I think it looks better than the red (but that is just my opinion) plus I think it makes the bike look a little more vintage. I believe a proper silver would have the same effect. I'd love to see it in black with gold lettering; it would look a lot like the Honda GB 500.
the bikes I saw in person did appear to have the 7-inch headlight. I wish I had thought to look at the chain.

aussie importer told me about a week ago via personal email $9200 plus on road costs. sports muffler is optional. as for the wa buyers i'd say it's tied up in transportation costs to the west side of oz.

I wish the Conti 535 looked more like ScooterBob's and GHG C-5 Cafe Racer project as seem in another post.  British racing green, emblems, and studs around the seats look awesome and more vintage-like.  I wonder which one is the better performer.

The latest Cycle World has an article on it, and shows the $5995.

I want one very very badly. But as a retiree on a fixed budget, I can't even finance one. I'm putting one on my wish list, & maybe in a few years I can snag a used one. In the meantime it is not a punishment or embarrassing to ride my G5 Deluxe, as I set it up to be sporty as well as practical.  Those of you who can manage it, should try & buy one at this EXCELLENT PRICE opportunity. Wish I could!
Best Wishes, Craig McClure

I think the $6k price is appropriate.  Anything over $7k is, imho, asking too much, UNLESS the QC takes a major move in the right direction.

Even if the QC takes a major move, see what 7-8k buys at a Honda dealer. They do have to be realistic.

Like all the REs, it's a niche bike.  Even more so I would say.  There aren't many ways to get something like this, a newly manufactured bike that is really closer to a vintage bike than any other new bike.  It doesn't just look vintage, it is in many ways.  That's where some of the cost goes, for something truly unique in the marketplace.  On the other hand, if you're just looking for a motorcycle in the price range, there are many choices out there and if the vintage appeal is not tops on your list the RE won't be either.  Still, I think they'll sell way more bikes at $6k than at $7k, and I hope the price sticks and the new dealers get better at understanding the bike's quirks and being able to sort them.

A repaint on these bikes to any color you'd like wouldn't be too bad.  I think there are only 4 parts: tank, front fender, and side covers.  Pretty much anything would work well with the black frame.

the front fender is painted silver like the fork lowers....seat cowl would be the fourth part.
