Sure is kinda strange. Maybe the builders got a planking fetish.

Definitely a show bike.  I don't think I'd want to spend much time in that saddle it but I do like the look overall.

Can you run a dry clutch like that? or is it just for show.

Would that be an iron barrel or an AVL?  How can you tell?

It is all practical enough, with nothing radical: great wheels, TLS front brake, cast steering header and down tube (like most Greeves bikes from the 60's), dry clutch (like most contemporary Ducati's),  underslung rear shock & spring unit (Burgman 400 anyone?).

Agreed that the seat unit looks pretty uncomfortable and there doesn't appear to be a back brake, but perhaps this bike is closer to 'road ready' than many a show bike special.

That has an Ace Fireball 535 engine in it. It's an Iron Barrel engine.
Chumma built that engine last spring for Max Hazan. Chumma also made that primary cover over the alternator section.

You can run a clutch dry like that, but the chain and clutch hub bearing would periodically have to be cleaned and oiled, or it would wear out quickly.

Customising is cool no matter what your tastes are. Ya gotta love the love people put in to these machines.

I've seen this bike before.  I enjoy it.  Sure, you wouldn't really want to ride across the state on it, but I could totally rip around on it for a couple hours at a time.   8)  Regardless of you personal taste, you can tell a lot of time went into designing/building that frame, and really the entire bike.
