  • "But it's a dry heat here in Arizona

I mentioned that I went to the "Bring Your Ride To Work" show that the company I worked for for 39+ years put on last week.

If anyone is interested in seeing some of the photos taken that day, follow this link.

Nice.  Had a red 66 volvo 2 door sedan just like in the pic.   Looks like a good time by all...I'm assuming that's your Enfield....

Yes.  That's my G5 Deluxe.

I think the only bikes that had more people looking at them was Karen's Harley chopper and the Triumph Trident.

Nice vehicles!  Thanks for sharing.

Did the camera 'drone' get up into the air?

Quite the menagerie.  The vehicles, not the owners.

Haven't seen a Bricklin since the 70's. Is that drag car a Anglia? How cool for a company to have a car show.

That looks like it was a good time.  Quite the array of different types of cars, everything from shifter karts to rock crawlers.  Very cool.

UM... you're former employees have some very nice, and very expensive cars!

Seriously nice cars.  Wow.  I see a really nice grey custom Yamaha and a really good looking Husqvarna a few bikes over.  I love those Husqys.  Interesting to see a Yamaha FZ-09.  That's a triple, I believe.

Great pics. Thanks.

A good comparo in the latest Cycle World on three triples, the Yamaha FZ-09, Triumph 675R, and the MV August Brutale 800. It's kinda hard to pick a winner in the bunch for me, but the Yamaha is the cheapest one, by a long shot and the shortest ranged, which would stop me there.

Yah.  Some of those cars are some serious money sitting there.

The gray Yamaha is a RD 400.  Sounded great if you like two stroke twins.  Ear splitting RINGGG-ding-ding-ding.

The FZ09 is Rich's new toy.  I was surprised he didn't ride his 2007 Triumph Bonnie but you know how it is when you get a new toy.

Karen was hoping to sell her chopper.  Lots of lookers but no takers.
She isn't exactly what one thinks of when they think of a girl.
She was an Army helicopter pilot who flew a CH47 Chinook before she got out and came to work as a Quality engineer.

The guy with the camera drone was flying it around the area but I don't know how his pictures came out.

All of the people serving the food are supervisors or higher in the company.  Nice to see them actually working for a change. (Har-har-har).
Speaking of supervisors I got to chat with Shawna.  She hired into engineering design and I got to be a mentor to her.  Smart girl, even if she does ride a bicycle 6 miles to work every day.
After working for our company in Czechoslovakia for 4 years she came back and is now in charge of the entire Engineering Design department.

Getting back to the cars, I think I liked the '48 Jag Saloon about the best.
It still has working flapper turn signals that poke out to signal. They don't make turn signals like that anymore.
