Cool!  Glad you're enjoying it.  As for the looks and questions.....  Dan K and I had trouble leaving the country store today because like 3 different people in a row were asking about both of our bikes.  It's really cool when we ride together because he has a 2012 Military and I have a '58 Twin.  Good times.  :D

Enjoy and take care of your motorcycle. Don't rev it too high, try to ride to tops of 60-65mph to not overstress the bike and keep everything in proper working order. Even though it can withstand higher speeds, just enjoy it at a leisurely pace  ;) It will reward you for many many thousands of miles.

Be sure to get the all important first oil change done at the recommended mileage.  It should be in your owners manual.  There will be a lot of crud in there, but that is to be expected.

Or do it sooner!  An oil change at 50 or 100 miles will remove a lot of metal from the engine that doesn't need to be circulating.

Congrats and enjoy your bike! I get a lot of attention on mine. Be prepared to answer a lot of questions from onlookers.

gmmechanic -

I am also in Virginia with an OD green 2013 RE C5 Military.  I have ~550 miles on mine and am enjoying the heck out of it.

If you live close enough to the N. Stafford area, we should plan on joining up sometime.  :)

That sounds good to me.

I bought mine at Velocity motorcycles -- since you're in Richmond, I presume you did also.

The deer are so abundant around here, they pop out all times of the day or night.  I see deer carcasses all over the roads every time I go out.
