Does anyone know if the Indian Army still uses RE's?

My Googling is weak.  Trying to find some photos of actual Indain Army RE's, but can't find anything more that lots of photos of plain old military green bikes.

Did/do the Indians have distinctive markings for these bikes in military use?

Cheers,

Dan K.

Military bikes as far as I have seen typically have the registration number painted onto the front fender.  Other than that they are not uniform.  Differen crash bars, seats, etc. Not all had the hard box panniers.  Different paint jobs, insigia, and placement thereof.  Air force used a grayish blue on some of their bikes I have seen.

I have never seen a uce with the military but they may well use them.

Oh well,  so much for making it look "authentic".

This was mine before I messed with it:

Details of note are the rounded type toolboxes, with tabs for padlocks on them and thumbscrew latches.  All I've ever seen have deep mudguards and one of the various types of crashbar, although one of the styles I often see in India is referred to specifically as "military."

Insignia placement varies; most I've seen have no unit markings, though.

I like the embossed area on the front fender where the reg number is. Does any of he RE suppliers have these fenders?

If you can't find them through the US, they should be available from the Indian parts houses.
