Hi guys
I need some help to identify this model.


It's my grandfather sitting on the motorcycle. I believe the photo is from the late 40's. He used to ride around Europe with his buddies!

It looks like a G model from 1940-46. The G models after 46 had telescopic forks, prior to that the G forks were girder type.  The chrome would indicate it was post 1945. The thing I am not sure of is what appears to be overhead valves and exposed push rod tubes.  I believe the WWII WD's were side valve engines so I don't think it is one of those.

If those are not overhead valves, it could be a 1937 JF.  See this link:
