535 engine standard
« on: October 10, 2013, 08:53:39 am »
With the new introduction of the GT Racer, and the now standard production of a 535 engine, would it be possible to suggest to the home plant that they ought to install these engines on all export models? At least in NA power is more important than mpg. I think that could do a lot to improve sales if they could boast an all day cruising speed of 70mph.  With freeways becoming 70 standard across the country, 65 just isn't comfortable enough for many people, and while I understand that these bikes are by no means superslab cruisers, there is that mindset (especially among new riders) that one never knows what kind of riding one might be doing and it would be silly to limit options because of the bike's capability.  I don't know if they could do this and keep the price point the same, but here's to hoping.

No problem!  just order a new 535 UCE.  Oh, and better the the new frame it's designed to mount in, too.  Don't forget the rearset mounting positions... ;)

Or, is there some sort of adaptor to join the UCE and new frame?
