Welcome to the forum. :)  We're glad to have you here as a part of our web family too.

The title of your post says you are riding a G5 Military?  If it was made after 2009 with a UCE engine, you have joined a lot of other members who got somewhat confused by the names of the various sub-forums here.

When the forum says this is the Bullet Classic Models it is really trying to say the old Iron Barrel powered Bullets.

Not to worry though.   We're a friendly bunch who won't hold that against you but if you want to ask about a UCE powered bike, post your questions/comments in the forum that says "Bullet with the UCE engine".   That will get you more answers than posting questions here in the Iron Barrel area. :)

Welcome from a fellow Virginian (up in Stafford/Fredericksburg).

It seems like we have some things in common... I have also been riding since ~1972-73 and have a new 2013 RE C5 Military which I bought from Velocity Motorcycles in Richmond.

I'm really enjoying the retro/old school features very much.

Nice to have you here.  :)

I'm interested to know how you like the black pipe coating job after its done (and maybe how much it cost there @ Velocity). I would like to do that on my Iron Barrel Military Bullet also. All that chrome on a flat bike just doesn't look right IMO.
I am about 50 miles west of Richmond.

hey there hurricane...the cost of ceramic coating is about 150 dollars...it is done by a local race shop...looks great and after riding for hours the pipe will be cool to the touch in 5 minutes...i have it on my harley shovel head superglide...plus the fact of no bluing on chrome...lmao...it fits military genre as no military needs chrome lmao...
