As an option that works on the EFI engine, I have this original NOS British made up-swept (won't drag in corners) cocktail shaker type muffler. It has a flat perforated shower drain type baffle in its removable end portion. My 2010 G5 Deluxe has loads of power, Idles nicely, & isn't very loud until Revved. I was a little surprised to see just how well it works, after hearing every one else being limited to Hitchcock's aftermarket replacements. ***I am also using a pleated, unoiled, white paper air filter of approximate size of original, that I found in the lawn mower section of O'reilly Auto Parts. I prefer these to ALL others & have used them for decades-they clean & breathe very well..

Craig
Do you recall what the paper filter was made for?  John Deere lawn tractor?  Toro lawn mower?  Munch a Bunch weed eater?

*There was only a part number(which I didn't save) on the blister packaged, pleated paper air filter. I saw that it was about the right size & snatched it off its peg. size is more important than original application.
*My Muffler came on my bike, but I found its brother on Ebay for $80. I used it on my Yamaha SR500 (see photo) - but removed the baffle when I bought the sporty MIKUNI VM carb for it. I sold the SR500 because it could be a pig to start.

I put a BSA Goldstar muffler on my G5 Deluxe. It has a nice bark, no baffles.
