Wow,
You just HAD to keep up with the Joneses and get one of those new fancy push-button Bullets.  Well, if you want to do some mods I think NField gear offers up a kit to install an oil-leak hole on the bottom of the primary case so you can give the impression of an "old" British bike.

Good luck with the new steed Roverman.  I bet you'll love it.  Can't wait to hear it's name.

Congrats!  I feel obliged to warn you that you may not be used to all the power and speed a UCE has, so take it easy for a while. ;)

Well, Roverman, if we're keeping score, you've posted more crying and frowny faces than smileys, so I hope you don't regret the trade!!!  ;)

Since you mentioned it boggy i do have an oil leak, more on that later. I won't have a chance to ride for a couple of days so hang tight.Scotty, i hope you are right because REnfield had pretty good oomph once i got it dialed in. ;D ;D ;D. I can tell you that the 39 miles i have ridden so far had the grin going pretty strong!

Hi guys, sorry for the delay. First things first, all of the comments can and will be used against me  ;D. And they are all in comparison to my 03' Iron, REnfield.
Design and build: The frame is, for all intents and purposes, identical, not a bad thing, and much nicer welding etc.
They have replaced many of the plain fasteners with plated flange type nuts and bolts and most if not all are metric. There are a few anomaly's like the shifter lever bolt and the fork pinch bolt (replacing the 2 nuts, which i prefer).
Quality and riding impressions: The single biggest improvement over my bike has to be the transmission. Shift is faultless, as are the gear ratios, 4 speed guys can relate to this! The engine is very quiet in all conditions and fueling and power delivery is spot on. Curiously the bike starts and runs from cold in a similar way to my old bike, a bit stroppy until the idle gets its sweet spot (going into closed loop?) then all is well. I still have the original Bosch plug (soon to be replaced).
The ride and handling (skid masters fitted) is wonderful compared to REnfield. Nice fork damping, no stiction, nice smooth rear shocks. Bumps that induced cringing now are not an issue.
As far as quality goes i am not as impressed as i was expecting. The alloy castings in the forks and engine cases still have room for improvement and the new style speedo is laughable. Can't see the warning lamps with sunglasses on, this really needs improvement (LED lights in my future).
Overall i miss REnfield but i am pleased (ear to ear grin ;D ;D ;D) with my purchase.
Detroit Iron Cycles were great throughout the process, so conrats to Kevin on another great dealer and a big step forward. They seem to have got off to a great start as an Enfield dealer. I hope to have more pictures as soon as i can, the one attached doesn't do any justice to the forest green paint.
Robert & ? no name yet but i am thinking the Green B. 8) 8) 8).

Congrats on the new purchase.  I imagine you found a good home for REnfield?  The old iron barrels need a certain kind of owner and rider, as I think we can all attest.  I bought a 1977 Triumph Bonneville T140V a few months ago.  Still getting it road worthy as it has been sitting for about 6 years.  It would be hard selling the Enfield, but if I won't ride it as much next year I may let someone else enjoy it instead.  We'll see.

Traded to the dealer, plus my Kaw 440. I think he got a good deal.

Did you keep your 7 inch light kit for the new bike?  I still have the original but seeing the two side by side I can see why people switch to the bigger one.

Both bikes look pretty spectacular.

Welcome aboard the EFI camp ;)

This thing will keep your face grinning and run and run. Just do the first oil and filter change early on at 300 miles. You are set to go and clock miles.

7" headlamp on it's way. I may elect to do a switch from the old bike depending on how the new one looks. I have already dumped the jumper (thanks Singhg) and i did get to look at the wiring improvments behind the lamp, nice job RE!
Singhg, planning on the oil change at 300 mi, thanks.
Robert and the Green B.
PS. anyone got that blue dot headlamp that was in a post the other day?

Damn!  Condition-wise, REnfield and the Green B look like they might have rolled off the line at the same time!  Enjoy your new ride, my friend!

Very true Mattsz! I wish the photos could do justice to the colours though. I will attempt some more at the weekend time and weather permitting.
