I love the way the aluminum trials tank looks on these bikes, but looking at the tank alone it looks like it has a different front than what Hitchcock's shows in the catalog(sorry I don't have my NField Gear catalog here) but on their trials bike they show this tank and looking at the Nfield gear site their trials kit shows the bike with this tank. Is it only available with the kit?

My first thought was, Thats expensive. But after opening the photo I see its a good deal. Akront rims, alloy tank, etc. If I wasn't on the  east coast I'd grab it.

I would worry about the low miles. A '99 with 500 mi. is not even broken in yet. And the price does sound a bit high for a '99 even with the extras. Whoever makes an offer should check it out thoroughly before pulling the trigger. But I guess it is priced more reasonably than some guy selling his '01 iron barreled Bullet in the Seattle area for $5500. As I have found quite common the add consists of lots of talk on Redditch this British that and Brit standards. As P.T. Barnum once said, "There is a sucker born every minute". I thought I was that sucker buying my '03 with 1200 mi. for $2k a few years back. I guess it wasn't that bad of a deal after all. You have to remember the bikes sold new for under $3k.

Cheapest MSRP I could find in the NADA book was $3495.00 for a 350 classic from 1999, cheapest 500 was $3795.00 from 1996.

Nice looking bike, but needs broken in yet.

Com'on Westie you are blowing my whole memory of days of yore when gas was two bits a gallon and so were smokes. You have to leave room for memory depreciation as you get older or else you will be telling everyone things were free when you were a kid when your only 60. If you spread out your memory depreciation at the right rate by the time you're ready to kick the bucket things would be close to free when you were a youngster. I guess I should have said they were $2699 new.
