Beware of Sherando Lake

BMWOA rally at Sherando Lake, Va...120 or so riders hanging out in the campground as an adult black bear strolls in, walks around a while, then rips the hard bag off a beemer and tears it to shreds to get at the energy bar inside. Whoa! Thought that only happened in REPozer land!

You my friend need bear mace!  1 squirt of that stuff and that bear would have long gone.  Glad no one got hurt.

There is nothing worse than running from a pissed off hungry bear with a face load of bear mace.

This bike was stored for 3.5 years.  It had fallen on its side for awhile. I claimed it about a year and a half ago. Thus the low miles and inexperienced owner.

Haha, no I can't out run a bear.  But I would have left when the guy pulled out the bear mace.

They just put in "bear proof" trash cans...too bad there aren't any "bear proof" saddlebags ;D
