My recently purchased 2005 Bullet 500 ES has been running great. My question is....Does this model use brake fluid? I do not see any reservoir as on my other brand bikes.

TLS (Drum) brakes are mechanical, not hydraulic.

That's what I thought, but since my experience with the RE is minimal, I wanted to get a second...third...fouth opinion.
Our local dealer has only been selling RE's for two years and he refuses to work on any iron barrel models. He has not been very helpful with any questions since I did not buy a "new" RE from him.

Can't really blame him for not working on them. They are a totally different animal than the UCEs. and there are a lot of different iterations between them as they were changing from the 1955 points ignitions, drum braked, right hand, shift 4-speed models to the UCEs. If you haven't been around these type bikes for years, you're not going to have a clue about any of it! It's a big enough change in paradigms just to do the UCEs.
It's like trying to take a vintage Triumph to a Hinckley shop. The Hinckley Triumph dealers, as a rule, won't do it either!
