Last night my G5 tail light bulb filament burned and the bike became invisible from the back, as in the first picture. Fortunately the EXTRA LED lights I had installed long time ago came to the rescue and made it quite visible from the back (second picture).
This morning I took out the burnt out bulb and read its number 1077 printed on the base. I had a bulb (7225) that looked just like 1077 as shown in third picture and tried to fit, but it would not. Later I realized that the two pins at the base of 7225 bulb were not quite at 180 degrees to each other (they were actually at 150 degrees), but the slots in the socket are at 180 degrees.
Went to a few stores and could not find any bulb or package with 1077 on it ! Finally one guy at an auto shop spent some time did some search and gave me a package (7528) and asked me to try it. When I looked INSIDE the package the bulb was stamped 1077
!! There I GOT it, fourth picture.
Why is 1077 bulb sold in the package for 7528 ?
