Not my cup of tea either.
Yet, I'm sure, it will bring joy to a large number of enthusiasts.

Yeah, but I suspect that Guzzi will be a more powerful bike for less than 2 grand more. But I am excited about the Continental GT from Royal Enfield. Hopefully it sells well and RE can expand the number of models.

If they stay with the 500cc & 535cc engine I suspect they are going to only be niche players in Europe and North America. But for countries with less infrastructure and roads like India where a top speed of 70 miles per hour isnt a problem, I suspect they could sell very well.

I would've had one had they appeared here earlier. I needed something to ride so now I have the Guzzi. They waited too long to get it here and lost a sale.

I like the Cafe Racer, the one that is the second picture  ;D However, I don't mind the one in the top photo either  ;)

We can notice that the top picture depicting the Cafe Racer wouldn't be the final product. As we all know, the top picture is most likely a 2010 C5 modified to look like the anticipated Cafe Racer as it is displayed in the second photo. The second photo is the real deal and I like that one much more.

The first picture has many differences as compared to the real stuff - different shocks, seat, tail-light, lack of kickstarter, different front forks, big continental tank, C5 frame, different front disc/brake, different top yolk, C5 left/right panels/toolboxes, different exhaust etc. These subtle differences can sometimes make or break a purchase decision. Let us spot more differences! lol

Would buy. Because it is just lovely.

Nice bike but I am holding off for the parallel twin.

Did anyone notice the Café Racer uses a twin loop Full FRAME? This is a great improvement over the current stock frame. I'd like to have one, but must wait a few years to afford a used one.
As far as it just being a "poser", reflect on the Norton International & Manx Racers, BSA, Matchless, & AJS Racers. this bike, with its improvements would probably have been very competitive back in the day, & extremely fun to ride today. My used 2010 G5 Deluxe stacks up very well compared to my Old BSA Goldstar, Matchless G80cs, Yamaha SR500 singles. Like riding a Legend you don't ever have to push home.
Best Wishes, Craig McClure

Yesss..when they REleased the first spy photos of the cafe racer the twin loop stood out like a beacon in the dark.

Several of us are hoping that the cafe is the precursor/test bed for the long anticipated parallel twin.

Twin loop frame+ P-Twin= ;D

Just a couple tidbits from a parallel twin thread search of our forum. There are more here and elsewhere.
