has anyone tried the battery relocation kit yet for es 500 yet,,

My Bike has the Relocation kit installed as part of the conversion to the Continental Kit.
 It is a very tight and cramped fit under the cover there for the Coil and battery with all the wiring. Luckily I have not had to get in there in a while, Knock on wood, for a long while.

You should be able to make a battery holder that fits in your left toolbox and install a battery like this one:

This specific battery is extremely lightweight and compact. Also do a forum search for some ideas for a battery holder. If you can't find one I might be able to dig up a plan for one I used for my kick start bike. You would have to make dimensional changes to the plan. PM me if you want me to dig it out.
