Hi!  You'll find any problem you've had or any modification you may think of has happened to or been tried by someone on this forum.  Nobody will even pick on you for poor taste.  Well, they do expect some sense of propriety from Brits. Just ask before you try and you'll get lots of friendly help.  8)

Going to pick up my bike next Sunday. Best hurry up and pass my test then.

Its less than 3 years old, and with only 1400 miles on the clock, it's not even run in yet

It's here at last, and sat in the garage, waiting for me to hurry up and pass my test. Hopefully I'll manage to pass before the end of the warm weather

Wow.  I really like the looks of that bike.  You found yourself a pretty unique one there.  Pardon my ignorance.  I haven't been to the UK since the mid-80's:  With the graduated licensing scheme, I thought one had to begin on a sub-250cc bike?  Have things changed over there?

Cheers,

Dan K.

I really like that seat arrangement.  The comfort of a bench and almost the look of solo and pillion.  Cool!

Slap a couple of slightly more aggressive tires on there, and you'll really have something there...  8)

Yeah, I found it odd that someone put street tires on a Woodsman too.  My friend Paul was telling me the other night that a guy he works with is going to join us for an over-nighter camping trip this Saturday.  He says "He has an '07 DR400Z" and I'm like "Perfect!"  Then he adds "But it has street tires and he's never ridden in the dirt."    :o

That is a nice looking ride!  Makes me wish that model came to the US.

Welcome. Nice bike! Great color.  Love those UK Woodsmans (and Clubmans too).

I believe UK riders now have to ride sub-47bhp machines for their A2 license,  hence the new Ninja 300s and Honda 500s coming to market.

He says "He has an '07 DR400Z" and I'm like "Perfect!"  Then he adds "But it has street tires and he's never ridden in the dirt."    :o

It may have been the "SM" version of the DRZ which is a supermoto.  They are dirt bikes at heart but make for amazing street bikes.  Street forks/street gearing/street tires on a dirt bike... A finer hooligan machine/urban commuter, you will not find.  If I wasn't worried about it being stolen again, I'd replace the one that was stolen immediately.

Supermoto track racing is pretty popular too.  Great bikes.  Miss mine immensely.
