almost every cab driver here is indian. tonight after a few i had a little chat to Sandhu from punjaj. a cab driver based in the west of sydney. he has a nice 2003 enfield in india. its mint and he wants it here.  he saw my bike and showed  me pix of his. anyone know the best way/cost etc?

If the laws in Oz are anything like the US, then it's completely illegal to bring it in.
If it's not an antique, customs will seize it and you'll never see it again, nor will you get your money back out of it.

disassemble it first, ship it over in smaller crates.

 ??? I see no reason why an Indian in Oz would be prohibited from bringing his bike over from India.

Hmmmm. I know of many people shipping bikes etched into oz/nz. The question was regarding freight forwarders...

must be an indian business sydney way that imports a bit of gear-he might be able to use their crate as transportation for the bike for a reasonable fee

You'd do it as a "private import". As long as he's owned it for at least a year back in India and gets all the paperwork sorted, it'll be fine. The paperwork is meant to be an utter pain in the behind, and it might end up costing more than it's worth.
