Do the UCE bikes with EFI get primed when kicked over with the key off?

I think, but oil - kicking through pumps some oil, perhaps...

That's what I meant  :D More like 'cranking' the engine with the ignition off.

When you crank the engine whether by foot or by electric motor you run everything mechanical.  The alternator turns, the clutch turns, the lifters lift, the valves open, and the oil pump pumps oil.  If that doesn't happen, it's major broke.

It's the answer to:
"Do the UCE bikes with EFI get primed when kicked over with the key off?
Since it's an oil thread I said yes to oil gets primed.  If you're asking about fuel, then no.  You need electricity to run the fuel pump, power the control unit, and open the injector.

I think it would prime by kicking, but I have to wonder why? The pump starts to flow as soon as you start the engine. It is high pressure and high volume

No, but if you kick it with the key on, every time you kick, it primes! Very easy to flood the hell out of the engine with too many kicks! You may want to do a kick or two, and if it doesn't start, then shut the key off, and kick it through a few times to clear the cylinder. If you can smell the gas, kick it through with the throttle open. These beasts really need a manual compression release! they'd be a lot easier to kick start.
