I didn't know there were BSA bicycles, but I guess I shouldn't be surprised...

I've seen Kawasaki bicycles before but I haven't ever seen a BSA bicycle.  Cool!

There's one rusting in my shed.
Keep meaning to pump the tyres up, oil it, and take it out for some exercise, but those motorbikes always get the upper hand..

The Enfield saves on gas, riding the Enfield saves on Prozac. ;)

Well, I guess I shouldn't be surprised.

After all, Mitsubishi made not only this car:

but also this rocket ship:

this liquid natural gas tanker, similar to a few I've worked on:

and (to add a bit of perspective) these pencils:

That doesn't surprise me about Mitsubishi.  From what I've heard, Hyundai is the largest manufacturer in the world.  If you look closely at everyday stuff, you can see Hyundai's name on everything from freight containers to heavy machinery.  Just thought I'd throw that in.

And along with the Zero, they built half of Japan's WWII Tanks, all three models of Post-War MBTs, and will build the next generation MBT which should rival anything out there.
And electric razors, coffee pots, and rice cookers.

BSA was the biggest manufacturers of motorcycles into the '50s,and they built a lot of other stuff, guns, bicycles, Triumphs, yada, yada. They owned Ariel, Sunbeam, and other motorcycle manufacturers. hey were one of the biggest conglomerates in the world. Unfortunately, their management started thinking like businessmen instead of motorcycle manufacturers and forgot what their target market was, and instead of motorcycles, they were building durable goods. Idiots!

I have been forgetting to post this up. A customer recently passed away and his son brought this up for us to hang on the wall. His father bought a RE from us and we installed a side hack on it for him. Pretty cool ride. I also have a Triumph bicycle at the shop. Check out that sprocket! It's cannons!

Nifty!  I am always amused by the gun references because Royal Enfield never actually had anything to do with the Enfield Armory or weapons bearing the name.  It was all an advertising ploy from day one.  The closest I think they came was assembling antiaircraft gun, aim compensating computers in the underground factory during WWII.
