Nothing overly dramatic. Cheap weld where the header meets the muffler.

Been meaning to toss the exhaust and get a aftermarket anyway.

Suggestions
2012 Royal Enfield C-5 Military
2010 HD Dyna (Sold & hated it)
2008 HD Nightster (Traded with regrets)
1972 Triumph Bonneville (Still kicking myself in the arse for selling her)

If you plan to replace the full pipe, I'd recommend the D and D.

Even the best of epoxies are only good up to around 350-400 degrees F.
The body of the silencer gets well over 900 degrees F when the engine is running so there are no epoxies that will work.

Using this as my excuse for a nice aftermarket system from Hitchcocks.

I do like the D&D but a tad over the price point.

Welding the old pipe is always an option, but really... why?

I would think it would be covered under the emissions warranty which is longer than the normal warranty (check your owners manual)

Probably, except both the shop I bought it from, and the closer Polaris by my house no longer deal with Enfield.

Warranties are great when there is someone to honor the warranty.

I was going to swap the exhaust regardless. This just stepped up the timetable.

The closest shop appears to be Missouri.

I love the bike and the brand and I was willing to accept a certain amount of risk when I purchased the bike.

Unfortunately the weld point that failed is hidden by the heat shield. Not a place I thought to check.

2,000 miles in 4 months and this is my biggest gripe :) I think I'm doing ok.
