I decided that my back was well enough for a ride down the interstate, to see how it handled. I was actually pretty impressed. Though I did not take it quite to 70 for a few minutes, I didn't find the buffeting bad at all. Of course, i was not pulled in the wake of an 18 wheeler, but I thought over all it was solid. I have changed the rake some from dropping it, so that might have helped, but squirrely is not an adjective I would give it.

Needless to say, the bike got some looks. I got off after a few miles and looped back home on a different road. My back isn't up to the beating yet.
Unlike the S40, which is a fast bike, the RE has more pull in the lower end of the revs.

my c5 gets the shakes when confronted head on with a semi or b double.
lucky i have the windscreen fitted - i usually lay down along tank on the approach of the heavy vehicle and after the big rig passes by i'm back up and out of the wind and the ride is smooth.
