That's awesome!  I hope to someday soon have a bike featured in a magazine.  With any luck I'll be signing a lease for my new shop in the next week or 2 and be closer to making that happen.

Nicely done guys!  Way to show them up on their own half hearted attempt with the C5.  Now why isn't my latest issue on my doorstep yet?

Well they made a fine looking machine, and my hats off to them.  But.....  :-X ;)    This is where the REal enfield community is and I think it extremely cool that some of you guys liked what we did with the bike.  Thanks guys... and thanks to Mike Seate and the staff at Cafe Racer, for still recognizing the little guys working at home, and under the radar.... The ones who made this latest cafe thing happen.  Lets hope this thing doesn't turn into a American Chopper type deal.... And it stays real !   Just got a picture text sent to me by my niece Erin (graphics),  , of the article.. reading it now....  pretty cool !  LOL !

I'm sure they were under a tight budget and time constraint when they did their bike, and engine mods to the UCE aren't 'off the shelf' stuff you can just drop in.  Still, I read the article and their approach on the project seemed very generic and formulaic.  That said, if you handed me the keys to it I'd be the blur heading for the horizon.

I still think yours is way better Gorilla.

I definitely prefer the SB/GHG rig over the C5 that the magazine did.

Thanks for the nod boys, We appreciate that..... Yeah, took a little bit longer then theirs, But that's how it really is, as you both know, with pretty much untried things.  Very fun to do though. Great learning experience for me as well, with these bikes. ScooterBob is a great educator...and the best Mechanic I've ever met.  Ruined me for the old Japanese stuff !  Great bikes , but these  UCE's here got something about 'em.  More simple... more honest ?  A Well build motor.......

Congratulations GHG and Scooter Bob !!

I am looking forward to see the article and your Cafe Racer. Went to Barnes and Noble to get that magazine, but they have not yet received the current June issue of the magazine  :(.

I am sure it is a great machine with good looks and thump.

I went looking for a copy but haven't found it yet.  I think ghg's bike is one of the coolest custom bikes ever as it has the personal owner's touches, kind of like reading a book that tell a story about the author.
