That's it! They haven't even fixed anything on it!
Doesn't it look totaled? Yeah, good old Progressive pretty much stole it from me!

tell him you are interested.  go look at it.  pick it apart (verbally) and then balk at the "salvage" branded title.

buy it back for 2K.

WTF?  It looks like it's in someone's yard.  Did someone buy it as is and is now trying to sell it at a huge profit?  Sorry Bare, this just adds insult to injury.

unProrgressive , shafted me because I was dumb and didn't check other sources for motorcycle insurance. They would not lower my premiums after I quoted other sources,...very short sited on there behalf, but was well worth paying the equivalent of 6 months premiums  to ditch them and go with Gecko.

I ended up going with Farmer's. I've had them for car insurance for car insurance for 30 years, so I figured I might as well tack this one on. they gave me, by far the best quote. If ya rally want a joke call AAA!  They wanted over $500 for a year, compared to the $188 I got it for. I did call Progressive for grins and they were over $300. I paid them $150 last year for the RE. Not that I would have used them at any price.
The second cheapest I got was from Esurance at $250. I guess the value of the bike makes a lot of difference!

That was 4 years ago when I was so excited to ride my new RE, I didn't call around, just went on USAA recommendation for Progressive. I think progressive insured me for an antique motorcycle, because RE was not in the computer line up. After I figured out what happened ( I was stupid) ,Progresive would not insure me for a lower price, ( RE's are from the 1960s not 2008) ...bla, bla.. fine , I'll quite throwing good money after bad.
Gecko is $ 100 a year, they understand my RE is in a garage more then half the year,...as I tried to explain to the other guys.
Like I said, I was dumb, but not real dumb,....there is a difference.

Sorry to see your bike being sold Bare. Hope you find another soon.

I thought I mentioned that bare's bike had been sold at the auction site.

Whoever bought it has a hell of a lot of nerve to not even bother to fix the scrapes and dents and then ask over $4000 for it.
I'm guessing he didn't pay over a grand for it in its present condition and he got a salvage title in the process.

That's what Dairyland did to me with my BMW too after paying them their fee for over 20 years without a claim.
