ERC...hey!!! It's a great day!!! I got the oil return tube apart an cleaned out, an also got engine block unplugged... It had many years of build up in it, but all is clear now  ;D thanks to a 15mm floppy ratchet wrench, an your pointers ERC it all came apart.. Plus I had to take some stainless cable on a drill an run it through the oil ports to clean them out...them a little air an spray cleaner all is good now  8)

That's great I knew you could do it with a little patience. If the return pump is ok you should be golden.   ERC

That's great, the clutch friction disc is rivited on. If it's not badly worn leave it in place other than that drill the rivets out to remove it.  ERC

ERC... The seal behind the clutch an the seal behind the stater need replaced, so does the big nut on the crank have reverse threads? Was hoping I could take a puller an take the back of clutch out to change seal... ???

The nut is right hand thread. You just remove clutch basket, stator, chain the whole assemblies. If the inner primary is original it will have felt seals in there. When you install the engine sprocket be carefull you don't pinch the felt between the sprocket and crank.  ERC

Ok thank you so much ERC...I'm down to the big nut an it looks like someone tried to take it off before cause it has chisel marks on it, but I think a socket will still go on it...just hope the 1/2 inch impact with 3/4 socket adapter will take it off  ??? I'm trying to deal with
Nfieldgear.com on the parts, but the number plate is gone from this bike an I don't know what to use to look up my parts...so I emailed them about it, but no response yet.

They really are the only game in town that has the parts for these bikes. They're great to deal with though.  ERC

You can go on the Brit Bike Forum and put a request in there under the Royal Enfield part. You may have some luck there.  ERC
