2012 C5 Classic in Royal Maroon! Picked it up today.
The dealer changed the fork oil for me and disconnected the side stand switch in addition to their normal checklist for prep. Before I left I noted the ignition switch was loose in it's mount along with a couple loose lock cylinders on the tool box, air box, and electronics box. THey tightened all of them before I left.
Rode it 79 miles to home and couldn't be more pleased!
Only three stops en route, and the stock seat was quite comfortable all the way. Began getting a wedgie at about the 70 mile mark, but grinned and bore it!   ;D    Average speed 50mph and compared notes with fellow riders. The Speedo is pretty darn close at 50.
At the first stop (The Mine Shaft in Madrid New Mexico) I hadn't even killed the engine before someone yelled "Hey! What year is that?", and before you know it the HDs were ignored and folks were taking pics of my machine! When I took a smoke break on the balcony people were still taking pics of her!  8)
Dealer prep was excellent. Handling was superb. No really noticeable vibration in the grips, and only a little in the pegs.
I'm seriously digging this machine!!!!
Here's a couple of pics:

Welcome, heloego!

Now that's what I call dealer prep!!!  You are lucky to have a dealer who is close, but more important, a dealer who cares!  That fork oil change alone is no small job.

Have fun, and ride safe!

Yep, the dealer is a good one, and only 50 miles away. Though in all fairness I did specifically request the Fork Oil change. We compromised and switched to 15w oil. The handling was A-OK.

Been reading through the OM this morning, and was surprised by what I read. The Tools and Spares Kit (page 54) lists what comes with the bike, including 1 each Speedo cable, 1 each Clutch cable, and 1 each Tire Tube.
When I received the bike I was given an "Owner's Kit" that felt like it weighed close to 10-15 lbs. (Good thing I brought a ruck sack with me!) I could see the tube, some cables, and a wrench. Upon opening the bag at home I was VERY pleasantly surprised to find the following along with the OM:
1ea Clutch cable
1ea Brake cable
1ea Speedo cable
1ea Throttle cable
1ea Twist Grip (accelerator) cable
1ea Front Tire tube
1ea Rear Tire tube
1ea 22 x 24 Open End Wrench
1ea Rattle Can of touch-up paint
3ea Red Reflectors
2ea Amber Reflectors

Now it's off to wipe her down and shine her up!  :D

Your dealer (Richard and Meg at Cenatur Cycle) in Sante Fe, is a long standing dealership and one of our very best. Glad you like the bike

When I asked for the extras to their DP, they had no problem doing it. At my request, Richard test-rode it for just under 25 miles to double check everything. Great folks!  :D

Nice tall can of "factory" paint... worth its weight in gold - if it's a proper match, that is!  As I understand it, some of the OEM military rattle cans don't quite match the factory paint.  And, two tubes!  Of course, you've got two different size wheels, don't you?

You did get the tool kit, right?  Crummy tire irons, but handy set of smaller open and allen wrenches.

FYI, your spare cables look to me like (clockwise in photo): pair of throttle cables (your throttle has two), clutch cable, speedo cable, and "manual bi-starter" cable.  I've yet to find out what the heck that last name means; it's not really a choke, but ostensibly it's for cold-weather starting...

Yep. "Bi-Starter". Wondered about that myself.  :o Certainly won't do me much good here in New Mexico, even during Winter.
The rattle can says it's "computer-matched" to the OEM paint, but believe you me it WILL be checked on something else before I use it on the bike.

Did another 45 miles today. Windy as hell, but still a gas! Plenty of honks, looks, and one attempt to kill me.  8)

Got an offer to accompany a friend of mine in Louisiana to Sturgis this year.

Checked the tool kit against the inventory in the OM.
It's missing the 5mm hex key and the 1/4 x 5/16 wrench, but all the extras in the "Owner's Kit" more than make up for it.
Besides, I already have tools coming out the...well, you know.  ;)
