I'm switching up my muffler, so I have my EFI silencer from Hitchcocks that I'll no longer need. If anyone is interested shoot me a message and we can work out a price.

Thanks

When I purchased my G5 last month I was given a box of take offs that I'm never going to use.  I have a set of OEM mirrors, a set of black Napoleon bar end mirrors, and the stock bazooka muffler. I put the mirrors on eBay, but I'd rather sell them here if anyone is interested.

I know this may sound a bit odd, but don't sell the stock bazooka. You never know when you might need it, and it is quite expensive.

I hear you, it's just tough to keep in a small apartment. I honestly don't think anyone will want it, so odds are I'll leave it in the closet. I just wanted to put it out there in case anyone needed it more than me.

I kept my bazooka because I thought I might have to put my bike thru emissions testing and my G5 with its Hardly Ableson muffler might not pass the test.

Last week I found that because it's fuel injected I don't have to even go in for the test so I just mailed in my check for the new license plates.
I'll probably keep the bazooka though.  Like I tell my wife when she asks why I still have the spare tire from our 1989 Mercury, "You never know when you might need it."  ;D

Haha I was definitely a parts hoarder before I moved out west. I had a garage and it was the town chop shop. I kept everything.

I still have the stock mirrors, if anyone wants them let me know, I'll give them to anyone that wants to cover the shipping.

In all the years and all the vehicles and all the keeping of stock parts, I've never put them back on to sell a vehicle.  I just pass them from a dark corner of my garage to a dark corner of the new owner's.  With this bike I've kept the stock seat upholstery because no one seems to like a seat as firm as I do and the bazooka just in case someone needs to take this to an emissions test.  Everything else goes to the recycle bin or the trash.

I wish I had tried to sell my other parts here first, I ended up selling my turn signals for $0.99 and my taillight for $$2.00 haha I ended up making about $7 off of the shipping, but the buyer still got a hell of a deal!

Mcurrier - Still have the stock mirrors?
"I still have the stock mirrors, if anyone wants them let me know, I'll give them to anyone that wants to cover the shipping."
I figure they would work well with the long stalks. Let me know know the cost and we'll figure a way to work out payment and delivery.
Cheers,
Bill

In the UK the stock 'bazooka' silencer is £500, if you want to buy one new. I'm keeping mine because after 3 years from new, all bikes and cars ( and vans etc) have to have an annual MOT. one of the the things that is checked is the exhaust system - does it have the necessary markings on it, what are the emissions? Is it road legal for the UK? I am not sure that any of the after market silencers for the EFI engines are, because they don't have the CAT converter the original has.

Dreadful! I suspect it will be that way everywhere in the "free world", soon.
