Thanks!
Nice to read about the new upcoming stuff.
I have been wanting to see a factory RE cafe racer model for years!

My thoughts are "I can't wait!"
It sounds better each time I see something about it.
It looks like it must be reasonably comfortable. The guy was putting some decent distances on it. the comments about the performance sounded really good.
I thought the bags were totally butt ugly. The AGV Helmet was pretty interesting.
Peter Egan has an interesting little "Leanings" column in the latest Cycle World about Continental GTs. He's the #1 reason I even read the magazine! His column is the first thing I turn to.

That Continental is sweet!   I LOVE that they put clamp-on bars on it.

Quick little read, thanks.  It seems the frame is stiff and the handling crisp, which I'd expect with the new frame.  Also, nice to see a bike with reall road grime all over it :)

Thanks,
Scott

Very interesting modifications for the Indian market.  Rear footpegs for a pillion rider and extended front and rear fender panels in black to fully cover the wheels.  I bet it gets a saree guard as well. :)

Can't wait to get my hands on one, but I am definitely not troubleshooting high speed wobbles and buying 19" front wheels again. ;D

I love the saree guards with that single big platform footrest, so old school.  But maybe it looks better on a C5 ;)

"The Guy" who was riding the test mule was none other than Mr. Siddharth Lal, the owner of Eicher group, the holding company of Royal Enfield. He is the man responsible for the turnaround of the brand for good.......let's hope he keeps up the good work, and RE continues to receive his careful attention.

One thing for sure. Once the Cafe launches, I will have few things to buy for my bike. I am hoping that the rear set, rear shock absorbers will fit other RE bikes. A lot of italian stuff I see :)

Sorry if I overlooked it but is there a projected date for arrival here in the USA?

I read somewhere that it was slated for a release in the Fall months.
And I think I read somebody mentioning August too, but I'm not sure about that.

If they release it in the fall, the actual bikes will probably take a couple of months to get here on the ship, and then trucked out to the dealers. They might call it a 2014 model.

It's supposed to be here in July (I hope) or August. It will be a 2014.

Royal Enfield of Fort Worth has a picture of one on the front page of their website. They are accepting deposits for one now. With delivery in August or September.
