I was a longtime member of this fourm when it started along ago. I foolishly sold my iron barrel, 4spd kickstart only, Bullet a few years ago. But at least it went to Chris Bartlett from Her Majestys Thunder, and he has done fantastic things with it

I longed for another RE for the last year or so. But which one? Then I saw a picture of the Continental GT, and found out there was a new RE dealer in my home town Las Cruces NM, along with a price drop on the GT.

The timing couldn't be any better, I pulled the trigger and placed a deposit on a new GT this week.

Glad to be back home,
Andy

I think you are going to love the Continental GT. The build quality is readily apparent.
Enjoy!

Charro,

Welcome back, we met a few years ago at the Bean in Mesilla, we were all on Urals.  I got transferred last January to the Virginia.  Real curious who is the RE Dealer in Las Cruses?

Cheers,

Hey Chris how have you been? The Bean is still rocking on Sunday's. The new RE dealer in Las Cruces is Solano Scooters(Wayne Ward) corner of Solano and Madrid St. It's a small, family owned shop that sells scooters and now Royal Enfield, good people.

Good to see a RE dealer in Las Cruces, saves a drive to Santa Fe.

Weather takes a bit getting used to, especially the humidity.  The wife and I laugh about it when the humidity hit 30% and we think its dry now, when back in NM you could smell the water at 30%.

New roads, new places to go.  I'll be looking forward to your thought on the Continental GT.

Cheers,

Sold my C5 at the end of Summer and have been very happy with its replacement, a 2012 Moto Guzzi V7 Racer. Stopped by my local RE dealer this morning to donate the slightly used Avon Road Rider tires I had replaced with K70s, (he was happy to get them!). He mentioned he would be getting his allotment of Continentals (2) in a few weeks, and why don't I come up for a looksee when they arrive?

Came home and viewed the excellent website on the Conti, watched a few videos, and now:
