Some of you may have heard last year that I was working to convert my 2011 C5 military to a cafe racer (or a continental). The theme was to have a military (read OD green) cafe racer concept for a C5. I ran into several problems like: NO ONE SEEMS TO MAKE CONVERSION KITS FOR THESE BIKES.

So, I contracted with a guy in India to make the parts for me. However, most of the parts were not "bolt on" either. With the help of torches, hammers, welders, and bondo, I give you the STEALTH BOMBER 1.0

Things done to the bike
New tank
New Seat
New side markers and taillight
Added rear cowl
New Ace handle bars
Added handle bar mirrors
New Custom exhaust (straight pipe with baffle)
Custom Rear sets
Removed fenders

Please take a look and let me know what you think!

To Do:

Small front fender (mud and road sludge is not tasty)
Black out engine and other gawdy chrome parts =)
19 tooth gear (on order)
lucas head lamp
ped slicer (maybe)

Looks real nice. Definitely a unique color for a cafe racer!

Cool!  Very original, I like the flat black pipe.

 Guys, you've got to experience this bike in person.

  I rode with S.B. for a good fifteen miles this past weekend.
 Not only does it look cool but the sound out of that pipe is delightfully wicked mean and nasty.
No matter where you go, there, you are.

This bike is very cool.  I too rode with Stealth Bomber last Saturday and had a very good time.  I'm look forward to more outing, burning up the road, with the beast and Stealth Bomber.  The name of the beast is also Stealth Bomber and rightly so.  I like it!   ;)

Royal Enfied people are good people.

Cheers,

Bill,

Got the rear brake issue figured out after you left. It was slipping where the rear drum pivot lever meets the spindle (the big double nuts on the drum). Pulled it apart, applied the German standard for torque (gudentiet) and works like a champ. That extra throw I added to the brake lever helped as well; no longer hits the exhaust.

@Royalista:

Maybe we can call this version of Cafe the "T.H.Lawrence Edition". Might look good in cursive under the royal crown, eh?

Looks beautiful! I would never have guessed that o.d green would work so well on a cafe racer. I love the harmony of the entire bike. Lovely tank too. Did the stock fuel pump end up bolted to the bottom of the tank?

@Jartist

Surprisingly, the pump mounted right up. Alot of the other parts we not "quite" right, considering they where hand made in india. So, I was expecting the tank to be a real issue, but it wasn't. The paint was the hardest to deal with as the indian paint did not seem to chemically play well with domestic paints.

Aha, or on the tappet, in stead of that awkward "EFI-500".  ;)

@gremlin

The whole kit came from a company in India called "Sans Inc". But none of these kits are massed produced. All are made by the old torch and anvil method.

Really nice looking bike.  I like how you've painted over a lot of the chrome, like a military should be!
