GDI
on: April 01, 2013, 10:58:56 am
Anybody know anything about GDI conversions for Royal Enfield. ?  There are some hits on internet leading to "Ramesh Gopinah" but I can't make out the details.
Seems to me that a cylinder head with two spark plug fittings would be a simple conversion for this technology as you could just thread into one of the existing holes without further head modification, (though it might benefit from higher compression piston profile) .
Anyone know anything about this?   Think of the fuel economy that might be possible with this !

Haven't heard anything about GDI and Royal Enfield.

Recently, the guys at Motus had planned GDI on their new V4, but they abandoned it prior to production.
No reason provided.
