Some  older post say Exide is a poor  quality battery.

After 4 years of stellar service with Exide, I suspect some of you to be part changing battery Nazis.

Thanks Exide! Look forward to another great year.

My OEM exide lasted that long and gave up the ghost that same year...The BikeMaster Gel didn't even last  two years and the current Yusa battery was purchased this past Fall...From the start, all the batteries were taken inside for the winter and maintain with a smart charger... Not trying to jinks ya...GM

Hey GM,
I am guessing my Exide will " take a dump" any time .
This is the longest lasting " little" battery I have ever used.
Goes to show a battery tender pays off.

I just replaced a Yusa Battery after 8 years of never fail use. It was on the RE when I bought it in 2005. I replaced it with the same model battery.

I've had good luck with Yuasa. Boeing not so much. Yuasa is the manufacture of the ill-fated batteries that smoked on the Dreamliner. Still would recommend Yuasa for longevity.

Blltrdr: Didn't know that...I was happy to get 4 + yrs out of mine..I did read about the Boeing problem and the electrical issues on their new plane. As a enfield rider we can attest to flying by the seat of out pants.. ;DGM
