I am new like you, and already I have received lots of guidance from the people here. A very warm and welcoming committee.

Welcome to the Forum!

You can take it from me.  After you get all legal and the weather turns nice you'll find all sorts of excuses to ride all sorts of places you never thought you'd need to go to. :)

Even after almost 2 years of owning my RE I find myself thinking, "Where can I ride to tomorrow?" :)

Just being alive is reason enough for me to ride!

Thank you all for the hearty welcome...I'm sure I will be asking a ton of newbie questions, so I hoping you'll be patient. wildbill, that is a dramatic change to your bike. did you strip your bike before you painted it, or can you paint plastic coat directly over it?

no. just wipe it over with grease/wax remover then mask up and spray. if your not happy with the end result spray another colour over it or just peel it off.
no damage to the bike or the original painted surface. plasti- dip does not like petrol so if you spill petrol on it you end up with a stained or partly damaged plasti dip
some-one on the site was interested in seeing what the enfield would look like in white - so i ordered a few cans and in the next couple of weeks we will see.

Wildbill, that is some pretty neat stuff. Talk about potential color schemes. You can test different paints and change them when you want. I wonder if it doesn't also provide some protection to the original paint as well.  Love to see you bike painted in white.  By the way, sorry you ditched your black/chrome bike as it served as the inspiration for my my bike.
