So I have an idea running through my brain, and I need an honest opinion of it, whether it would be too over the top cheezy. I was looking at the exhausts on nfield gear and I noticed one that caught my eye. It's the megaphone silencer. My idea is to buy this, strip the chrome, make a trip to the local welding shop and have them weld 'fins' to the narrow end, then paint it OD green with a yellow stripe around the middle and mount it. the finished product would look something like a bomb.

Your thoughts?

Well, the Indian market has a clamp-on rocket fin exhaust doodad available.  My first Enfield came with one installed by the previous owner.

My vote on your idea is "Matter of personal taste."  To me, it'd look like a theme park ride.

There's another military based semi-custom floating around with a fake gatling gun for an exhaust.  I think the builder calls the bike "GRENADE" or something like that.

If you get that muffler buy some good packing material.  There's very little in ther and it will blow out in an afternoon.

Honestly I'm re-thinking it already, If I do anything, I'll go after what AgentX suggested. Same effect a little more subtle.

Art is Art.
What do you care if anybody else likes it ?
The question should be "will it make *YOU* smile?"

I'm such a big goober about this bike, near anything would make me smile at this point. The jokes have already been going in the house. I fully expect to get a leather wrapped helmet for my birthday with a big set of bug eye goggles and a long white scarf. Maybe a bombers jacket.

A bomb shaped anything will probably get you arrested and put into jail in the USA. Interesting idea, but probably not what i would do. Then again, I am probably too boring - all I did with mine was paint it black with Hi-Temp Barbeque paint.

In the U.S. you might want to add some kind of graffiti, like "FTATF", or "FTFBI", or similar. But do it in Cyrillic to really confuse them.  :)

I was a Marine Aviation Ordnanceman and personally think it would look silly, but it's your bike.  By the way, Blue means "Inert" or no explosives of any kind. That's why practice bombs are Blue. Yellow bands mean "High Explosives".  Real HE bombs are generally Green with Yellow bands.  There's all sorts of other color schemes for different Ordnance, but you won't see a Blue body with a Yellow band - it's contradictory.
