The headline says it all. I am looking at getting a 2010 bullet, but have to travel to get it. 800 miles one way.  I have a trailer but dont want to take it that far empty. Has anyone hauled on RE in the back of a minivan? Will it fit? OR what is the height of the bike to the top of the handle bars ( minus the mirrors).
   If that is to high, I am thinking of dropping the front tire off. Will the back of the front fender hit the floor when the front tire is off the bike? Hey thank you for any responses.

If you've got a hitch on the minivan, here's an inexpensive alternate to both the trailer and trying to get the bike in a van

I put the Enfield on the back of our Toyota Sienna and went about 250 miles- it worked like a charm.

Well, I've seen a lot of bikes in mini vans but never an RE so I can't say for sure but these bike are on the small side and if you have a large van...........

At one time I worked in a bike store and people used to accasionaly bring their non starters to the shop in vans. I saw a few and I do remember them having to take the mirrors off and maybe turn the bars down on some bikes.

The guy I bought the RE from delivered it to me in his minivan from Kentucky to Illinois... you have to take the mirrors out and tie the bike inside.. use the ramp to load and might have to slide one of the center seat..

The bike is 85" long and about (they claim) 41" high. Could be lower by getting the mirrors off and handlebars rotated down, if needed.

Oh, and the B5/G5 are a bit taller than the C5 I believe.

Having put a C5 in the back of a Ford Expedition before I would highly recommend a trailer!  If you don't like hauling an empty trailer, go to hardware store and get some truck bed sand bags for like $2.50 each.  They weigh like 50lb and you can pitch them when you get there.

SUVs are way smaller than mini-vans.  They look big until you try to actually put something big in there.
