How is everyone faring?  It's midday here in midcoast Maine, and the snow is still ripping down.  The wind is really gusting and drifting the snow about...  my car is almost buried.

Hope everyone is staying warm and safe!

Brooklyn got off easy, only about 10 inches. Went out to shovel this morning and was underwhelmed. Hopefully with some warmish temps expected this week nature will do most of the work.

Remember, cast iron barrels radiate heat for a long time...!

Stay safe, all.

Pic 1:  That's my car under there somewhere!

That is incredible.  Makes our 2 feet feel like nothing.

This is a Ducati Monster that has been parked on the street all Winter.  What a shame.

 :o  -  Well, at least it's under a cover.

To be honest, I don't know how much snow we got - the wind was howling the whole time, and the deck on the eastern side of my house is absolutely clear of snow (pic).  It's the wind drifting that was my biggest enemy.  Not everybody had this much (but check out the drift behind that spruce tree - it reaches the top of my neighbor's garage door!)...

I remember some nasty snow storms when I lived back in Wisconsin.  One night it started down pouring in December and then the temp dropped to about 5 degrees and it turned into a blizzard.  There was a half inch of ice on I-90 and I had to drive about 20 miles on it at about 3mph.  That sucked big time.

So, glad you were at home safe.    :)
