Hi,
I am restoring my 1951 model G and I am searching for information of the original paint.

Did all come in black?
Did it have the gold stripe on the fender?
Etc...

Please help.

According to the book I have they were all finished in black enamel with some chrome pieces.   ERC

"ROYAL ENFIELD- BY MILES THE BEST" shows the 1950 Model G with a black frame, chrome plated fuel tank with a frosted silver panel and red & blue lines on both sides. (p.84)

The 1951 Model G  is, "..Finished in black enamel. (black) Tank lined in gold (two pinstripes) with chrome top stripe."
