Hello I recently purchased a 2009 classic that was a demo bike from a local dealer. The mechanic there did some work on it, custom exhaust, carb upgrade and short fender. Looks good, and runs well for the most part. The problem is I have some wiring issues that he eliminated and need some help. I would ask him but have no faith in the guy, he believes a crank case does not need to vent and made the vents on the bike a redundant system feeding in to itself. I noticed this after putting about 2 miles on it, asked about it not venting and he said its all good the way it is. I couldn't even get the oil cap off without some channel locks. Thankfully no busted seals.

The problem I am having is this, first I believe there is some of the harness missing, the front small lights go nowhere in the housing, three wire hanging there. Second is when my headlight is turned on the rear light does not go on nor the speedo light or voltage. The only time those lights come on is when the switch is in the middle, parking lights? I don't know what the symbol for that switch means (sorry). Also there are no turn signals and the harness for that is missing as well, I believe. I apologize for a long post and my first being a problem one.

On the other hand I love the bike, Im 23 and its my first bike and very fun and easy to ride. Nothing like it in my area at all. People everywhere I go talk to me all the time about it. Thanks for reading and all help is appreciated. Thanks

You'll have to do some wiring for the signals. Here's a simple diagram you could use. ERC

It may have the Hitchcocks breather setup? I've seen various pics of that bike, and the oil filler on the right side looks taller than normal, which is where the Hitchcock breather mod is fitted (a hose from the leftside crankcase breather fitting over to the oil filler/ Hitchcock item, and then there's a duckbill hose that come off of another fitting which runs over to the chain, I believe.  Or maybe it's something similar?

Yeah I did that with the filters, the top one runs straight up, and the bottom one runs straight off the case on my chain and oils it when it leaks. Thanks

If the motor is a 2009 then the Hitchcocks breather won't on motors that new with the screw in dipstick.  ERC
