I picked up my 2012 Military from Mike's Cycle (Ural & Enfield dealer) in Waynesboro, TN with 700 on the clock.
My first ride in 2 years was a 150+ plus mile ride to Memphis with my better half following me in the Jeep.
I was cold, but grinning ear to ear.
I've been reading the pages for a bit and made the following adjustments today:
Removed the kick stand kill switch. (It tripped twice on the way home while riding)
Re-engaged the headlight switch. I like that. My old Triumph had that and it came in handy when working on the stand.
New NGK spark plug. (Notable improvement over the stock)
Checked the usual (oil, tires, etc.) after yesterdays long ride. No issues
Now what next?
I'm looking at the EFI pea shooter to get rid of the telephone pole currently strapped to the side.
I saw posts about and Ace Air can to get my tool box back.
There are some shiny bits I want to black out.
Power commander?
Suggestions, advice, snark, and sass welcome.
Pitfalls to watch out for appreciated.
Overall I'm delighted. I have a 25 (50 round trip) daily commute to the base. This bike will stand out from all the HD's and I love the history behind the company. Spouse is happy 'cus I have the old looking scoot and non of the imminent breakdown fears.
cheers and excited to be a Enfield rider!
