I'm a mid shift work so I spend a lot time on road at night and needed a little more light.

Lights are form Waly World and I had a fabricator make the new brackets for me.

I'll need to find a new switch its made to fit in a dash I just have it straped down under the seat for now

Nice looking. I like the mounting which puts me in the mood to try something along those lines.

I'm a midnight shift worker too, and I think I just might have to copy this wonderful idea!  8)

Additional light system looks great. Do you have any problem with generating enough power?

I have ridden the last two nights to work and it is drawing the battery down some. I have one of those fancy time, temp, voltage meters and it reads a charge of almost 14 volts with the running lights off. Once I hit the switch it drops down to 12 volts. It has a steady drop in voltage and the ammeter shows it charging. I ride about an hour 1 way and I was a 10.9 when I got to work

You might need an upgrade to an alternator that is of higher capacity.

ok...  you've wired them thru the battery and the alt can't keep up....
how much more light do they give you??
I added an extra driving light to replace my bright...   cause when the dim was aimed correctly the bright was aimed at the moon....  I live in the country so when the corn is up it's like driving thru a tunnel at nite.

I wired mine thru the headlamp circuit which is a direct feed from the alt...  no drain on the battery. You might consider taping into the bright wire for the power. When I flip to bright on mine, the orig brite  lamp is unplugged and the new one cums on....    try it with your brite and see if it works there is enuff juice...   if not, unplug the brite side so JUST  the new lights cum on; this is providing the new ones give you enuff light. you'll have to get them aimed correctly. Keep playing with it.

no, it switches to the Hi beam mounted below. There is still that split second Of NO lights as it switches...  tests your nerves in the beginning. The brite lights the road for a good 1/4 mile.  Will your new lights give you enuff on their own??

hhmmmmm...  you could try wiring to either the brite or dim circuit...  I don't know if the alt can run 3 lights or not....  they will surely go dim at lo rev's.
But, it it works, it won't be the drain on the battery.
