Thanks Enfield Jake. Finally got around to doing this mod. I used the part number , NAPA car parts was able to translate it .
My engine idles smoother, or it seems to.

Too much snow for a test ride.

No Problem, that's why I put it up. Unfortunately admin removed the pics that I had that spoke a thousand words.

What is the rason for removing the PAV?

I undesrtand Scotty was having an issue with a hose splitting but if I'm not having an issue, is there anything to be gained by removing it?

It does nothing for performance and will eventually fail on you causing issues when least convenient.   2 minutes now saves an hour of aggravation in the future.

By intself, it's just an attmpt st air pollution amelioration.  Mostly- it's just ugly.

When done in conjunction with a freer header and re-jet, ti adds a bit more horse power.  For instance, it won't give you more top end, but it will help to hold your desired speed while under load (like a long hill).

I bolt, and 3 vacuum caps= $7.00. You can probably do it cheaper.

It was worth it.

You can use the PAV unit on your bike, as the breather valve :D  The one-way-flap valve in there is quite good, and is built to connect to the hot-as-hell head.  It even has a built-in 90 degree kink in it so the tube off of the oil tank can come straight up to the tank and shoot off backwards without kinking a hose.  That's what I've done.
