+1 to all our east coast friends.  My friends and family there are all well though some have lost power.  I hope you are all safe and dry.

I had to reset the clock on my microwave oven.  I’d say we got off easy here in midcoast Maine.

We did cancel a couple of trips on the Ferry Monday night and Tuesday morning, but the wind had just enough east in it that the bay wasn’t too rough. Any more south and we wouldn’t have gone anywhere.

But I've seen the pictures - hope everyone is safe!

Singh ji,
Hope everything is ok, my prayers for you and whole family, be safe.

Thank you Br. Singh_Chicago and my dear Forum Members whose prayers and best wishes must have helped as I am OK and was back at work today.  Lots of trees are down, for miles there is no power, traffic lights are dark on large sections of road, and incredible long lines stretching for 2 hour wait at a couple of gas stations.  These are the only ones functional for miles - all others are closed, they have no power for the last few days.

Some of you may have seen the other thread in 'Halloween Storm' in "Campfire Talk" where I had posted a couple of pictures.  The storm did knock off my RE.  Though it looks that it has survived, but will know better about it on weekend when I intend to take it for a ride.

Not much excitement here in the metro DC area... Lots of rain and winds up to around 50-60mph Monday night, but aside from a few windblown trees, no damage.  The wind was honking along strong enough to push the rain right through the rubber seals in my 7th-floor hotel room windows, here in Pentagon City, and we lost power for about six hours overnight, but that's about it.  Metro sht down the buses and light rail Monday, but it was all back up Wednesday afternoon.

Now to prepare for the next calamity to hit this town: Election Day.
