Above, I mentioned I had added a length of square aluminum tubing to the bottom of my sidestand.
Being thin walled, weak aluminum tubing, after a few months it decided to collapse so I went to my local scrap metal place and bought a length of 1 X 1 square steel tubing.
After cutting of a 2 1/2" long piece I drilled some holes thru it to line up with the holes I had made for the aluminum tubing.
After bolting it in place it has worked great for over 1 1/2 years now.
By the way, I would have taken some strong verbal exception to a mechanic that writes, "side stand intentionally bent, bike leans too far".
To me, that reads like he's saying,
"The owner is really dumb. He bent his side stand so the bike is damn near ready to fall on its side every time the stand is used. Obviously the warranty shouldn't cover such stupidity."
