I'm afraid I wouldn't be allowed. Do they have a ride for disheveled delinquents?

Their flyer says attire is formal.  Since that means white-tie (morning dress or a tailcoat depending on time), I can only assume the mixed up person who penned it is not in fact a distinguished gentleman, but merely someone planning on playing dress-up with Goodwill leftovers.

I rode towards London to go.

Decided to fill up so I had sufficient fuel for the day and the throttle locked up!!!

Somehow the cable had frayed sufficiently to completely jam the cable. I tried stripping it out and it wouldn't budge. I had to get recovered and I missed the event.

I'll be doing the TXABCD in Round Rock.  That Sunday is the static show part of the event (rally on Saturday).  Does riding to the show and back count?

This ride was originally planned to take place in Boulder for the Colorado Ride, but with the recent flooding that has changed.  Someone in the area is now trying to plan a route for a Denver ride instead.  Saturday the 28th I'm doing a ride with a bunch of small cc vintage guys thru the foothills.  It's going to be a busy weekend for me!

Soooo, what's up?  Is anyone doing the DGR today?  Anywhere?  I'm going to be riding the Denver ride today.  There are 70 riders signed up as of this morning for the Denver ride, and at least 2 other riders and myself will be on Enfields!  There are going to be quite a few guys filming the ride with GoPro cameras and there was talk of collaborating all the videos into a short movie.  This is going to be such an awesome time!    :D

Might have to smoke some rubber for the camera.    ;D

I did the DGR here in New York City. It was pulled together sort of at the last minute, but it came off beautifully. About 60 riders showed up, with a preponderance of Triumphs new and old, but also a vintage Honda 175, a Tomos moped, and a Vincent (!). There were also a few non-vintage riders (here in NYC we don't discriminate). I was the only Enfield in the ride, and I got a lot of attention.

I met ahead of time with the NYC Brit Bike group (about 20 participants) and we rode together to the main meeting point. The whole group did a 13-mile loop around Manhattan, ending at a beer garden downtown. Here are a few of my pics (and I'll post a link to my video here when I edit it):
