Hello All,

I converted my C5 to carb. The lack of Lambda sensor in the Indian models made the engine run rich at lower RPMs and little lean at higher RPMs plus electricals are not RE's forte so I don't have faith in the sensors and circuitry. I tour a lot on my C5 and cannot risk a electrical breakdown. The magneto started to act cranky after running 40000km (24500 mi). This carb conversion uses the stator, rotor, TCI Unit & Wiring harness of a UCE350 and works like a charm. I'm currently using a CV32 carb.

The motorcycle has lost close to about 20kg( 44 lbs) as all the sheet metal work has been redone.

Is that stator/rotor/TCI unit the same as the AVL uses?

Very tidy scoot, I really like the slightly dished tank.

I'm thinking with my current issues, I may have to go down this route.

What did you do with the fuel pump? Or did you swap tanks?

I just made an adapter from aluminium to fit the pet cock.

rajithcherian,
Your bike is awesome.  Great job.

That seat is perfect... Is it custom made?  I imagine you had to do some work to mount it.  And is your tank an original Enfield tank that you put some shape to?

Matte black paint is great too.

Thanks a lot. All the body panels, seats and fender are custom made. The fuel tank is not original. This tank was original an aftermarket large capacity tank meant for C5 and it now has a knee recess.

Love the seat.  I never liked the huge step in the original.
