first impressions after a 50 kl ride. the bike appears to be more sure footed if you know what i mean........ like that's how it should have been made.
mine has the lower 16kg springs. i set it to middle compression.
out on the road the c5 appears very stable, but slightly on the firm side.
pulled over and out with the shock spanner and dropped it to its softest setting.
back on the bike and an immediate fix-nice softer ride.
on the way back home there is a section with 30 to 50 small potholes about 2 to 3 inches deep in a 100 metre stretch. ......i always avoid this section!
so i thought i will see if these hagons are any good or not.
sat the bike on 80 kph and took the lot. big smile on my face here
they work and they really work well.
i could feel the shocks moving behind me - the ride was good if not uneventful. no whack in the back or bone crushing jarring.
conclusion. i went over those bumps as if they were a non event.
verdict. i purchased them for a better quality ride. i got what i paid for and they delivered the goods. if i had ordered higher up the spring scale they would have been to firm for me. 16kg and softest setting...............according to Goldilocks............. just right.
as for handling I'm really not into that so others can advise. i have the Mazda mx5 and a big turbo to play there.
