As reported on Blasco's blog: The Badger with a Hitchcocks kit missed the ton by a whisker in the 500 cc class.

"But 98.134 mph was still a class record. "

To reiterate and clarify, the Badger bike no longer uses Ace/Mondello head or Ace Cams.
Hitchcock is now their sponsor.
They did 98 with a full fairing in a flying mile.

Yeah, I know, sponsorship helps to fund projects like this but I'm just not excited about the badger now that Ace isn't involved.  I liked it when it was about the craft and human passion and expertise derived from trial and error instead of merely pulling parts off a shelf and bolting them together.  I was rooting for Chumma and Tom and the trials and tribulations added to the drama and success was something that was earned when achieved.  Now it's just... meh, ho-hum.

Damn, that last one hurt!

As if it's not bad enough Dave spilled the beans about a disappointing result! Still stings. 98.1? WTF?

Oh well. Back to the drawing board to pull some more parts off the shelf and bolt them together. Trust me, I got your trials and tribulations Pal! It is a Bullet after all.  ;)

Cheers,

Sorry about the flame, it's not my usual M.O. I am just dissapointed that there's no full length documentary, those clips were SO good!  ;D

Enjoy Summit Point...I've spent a lot of time up there spinning Vics and Caprices and SUVs all over the place myself.  I imagine the skid pad would be a lot less fun on the Badger than the armored Suburban, though...

I'm pleased to announce that Bullet owner, forum member, film maker and friend Drue Pennella will be capturing all the adventure of our upcoming 3 race "Autumn Blitz". Drue will be producing a short documentary of all the Bullet-centric action; win, lose or draw. He is approaching the film as, he puts it, a "passion project". He is attempting to raise funds to cover the film's expenses via the crowd sourcing platform Indiegogo. The campaign "The Bader, Made In Trenton" can be found here:

Any support is of course very much appreciated. In the meantime, the opening round at Summit Point is this weekend. Wish us luck!

Cheers,
Leon
