After years of Japanese "Gas'm up and go" bikes that didn't require much fiddling with other than normal maintenance, I find myself spending more "quality time" with my used 2009 G5. As i encounter things like the hard to remove tool kit cover and air cleaner cover, the engine sprocket bolt that fell off and other "fitment" issues that wouldn't occur with machines from the land of the rising sun, I find myself whimsically shaking my head and muttering "Well, it ain't Japanese"..... So that's my motto for the G5, though I certainly like the bike and appreciate all it's great assets, and don't mind the extra fiddling.
