Hey all...after springing for the old style Lycett seats...I must say I absolutely cant stand them. Anyone know if the Enfield GT or English Dual seat fit on the UCE bikes? Thx

At first I was unhappy with the "Old-style" all-springs saddle on my Bullet.  However, after adding some height to the rear two mounting brackets and tripping the seat slightly forward (rear high) I noticed a dramatic improvement in comfort.

2012. so far so good.
i will be replacing the chain with an o-ring either wednesday or saturday.

i have a 34 mile commute and took the c5 3 times and the seat was fine, it is about 45 minutes each way.

East Bay of where?

If you really dislike the Lysette and want to trade for the OEM C5 solo seat, I'd do an even-up swap; the geography of my "Southern Hemisphere" doesn't particuarly agree with the factory seat and I want to try a Lysette.

I'm in Michigan.

Oh, I am definitely interested. And I'm not financially ready right now anyway so take your time.  When you get your bench saddle sorted & done, let me know.

Is this the larger Lycette solo or the smaller one?

Ressurecting the Zombie Thread:

Mr. saint45? Are you still here?  We tried putting your old Lycett on Fiona yesterday; the one you sold me last summer...  We seem to be missing a part; the base that the pilot saddle rear springs bolt to, which then connects to the bike frame.  No way to finish installing the seat without it, and it's definitely not in the box.  Might you still have it somewhere?

For that matter, does anyone have one of these that they'd like to sell? I'm up a tree without a paddle without it...

You can try PM'ing.  I think the default settings are for the forum program to send an email alert for the PM so he'd get it unless he's shut down the account.
