I posted this in the AVL forums but I can't seem to track down a size number for my AVL.  I'm wonder if it is the same size for the EFI bikes.

Thanks.

Don't know the numbers for YUASA or the other one (cannot remember the brand offhand). Early on when I switched to the sealed ones, I found that they were just a teensy bit too big. Here's what worked for me - simple in concept but a pain in reality:

The battery-holder/shelf/mount for the battery needs to be dropped about 1/2 inch. That is, the 'new' batteries are about 1/2 inch to tall.
Unmount the existing battery-holder/mount.
Use the holes in the existing battery-holder/mount - but drill a new hole in the frame/downtube.
Remount the battery-holder/mount.

The battery will now just squeeze in.

Once done, never worry about it again.
(I'm on the 3rd 'new' battery)

been using mine for a while and am very pleased.

OK thanks. That is what I bought and it's too big for the AVL's battery holder.

Correction, that IS the correct size.  I bought a YTX14-BS which is different. Those extra letters in the middle make a difference :)

Thanks for the info.

Nice information, thanks.  When the battery on my RE goes, I'm going to replace it with one of these.

I made the jump to sealed shortly after they hit the market. They have proved superior to plain in every way so far. No regrets.
